Clinical observation of Huanghuai Shenqi decoction combined with western medicine on the treatment of chronic renal failure

Objective To observe the effect of Huanghuai Shenqi decoction combined with western medicine on the treatment of chronic renal failure(CRF).Methods 110 patients with CRF were randomly divided into two groups.54 cases in control group were treated with conventional western medical treatment.56 cases in treatment group were treated by Huanghuai Shenqi decoction combined with treatment of the control group.Treatment of two groups was lasted three months.The clinical efficacy,renal function,liver function and 24 h urinary protein excretion before and after treatment were observed in two groups.Results The total effective rate in treatment group(82.1%) was superior to that in control group(66.7%,P 0.01).The level of Cr after treatment was decreased in comparison with that before treatment in treatment group(P 0.05),and Ccr was increased(P 0.01).There was no significant difference between before and after treatment on liver function and 24 h urinary protein(P 0.05).Conclusion Huanghuai Shenqi decoction combined with western medicine was more effective than that of western medicine on the treatment of chronic renal failure.
