The histology study of child long bones

Objective To determine a piece of broken bone is a child bone or not.Method A child long bones was got and the histological sections were made and observed with microscope(Olympus,HB-20,10X20),the character of child bone histology was described and compared with adult and animal bones.Result The osteons of child bone is simile to the osteons of adult bone and the outer and inner circumferential lamellae,interstitial lamellae are simile to mammalian bones.Conclusion The histological characters of child bones can be used for distinguish the bones of adult and mammalian bones in forensic practice.
