Abstract
Polyurea microcapsules containing hexadecane were prepared by interfacial polymerization method.Isophorone diisocyanate and water were used as monomers in the system and PVA was used as emulsifier. The microcapsules had smooth surface and narrow particle size distribution.Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) was used to investigate the thermal properties of the microcapsules, the results indicated that microencapsulation had little effect on phase change behavior and the microcapsules had good thermal stabilities. The core content was 70 % in the test sample. The morphology changed of microcapsules in the process of formation by controlling the addition amount of isophorone diisocyanate were also investigated.
