Abstract
Regarding the principle of honesty and credit in t he civil lawsuit,different requirements exist within the system of civil lawsuit in different social periods of history.With the establishment of modern civil lawsuit concept,the principle of honesty and credit has been paid close attenti on to in the legislative and judicial practices of all countries,and has become the basic principle guiding the whole civil procedural law.Judges,litigants and other involved persons should abide by this principle.There is also substantive stipulation of this principle in the civil procedural law of China.But the stip ulation lays much emphasis on the obligation of judges and yet not enough on th e obligation of litigants and other involved persons.This should be improved pro mptly.
