Abstract
This paper shows us the deficiency on finding the solution of radiative heat exchange problem in a flame hearth by radiation network unit advanced by Hu Chang Gou in the literature. And also a new and more universal radiation network unit is presented and used to analyze the radiative heat exchange in a flame hearth under the general gas radiative conditions. The obtained results can't be derived by radiation network unit in the literature and are the same as those by the traditional method.
