Abstract

Objective Through a review research to analyze Class Ⅰ malocclusion in the extraction and non-extraction teeth treatment before and after treatment arch width changes, and analyze the differences of treatment methods by the two arch width changes.Metohods 50 cases ClassⅠ malocclusion patients(25 cases extraction treatment,25 cases of non-extraction treatment)of the information recorded before and after treatment of upper and lower molars and canine, respectively match t-test and two independent samples t-test analysis of the two groups within the group and the result of differences. Results Before treatment Extraction group and non-extraction group, the width of upper and lower molars and the canine dental arch width had no statistical difference, the two groups after the end of treatment, the upper and lower dental arch and the canine arch width increase had the statistical significance, the extraction group, the molar dental arch width reduction, the non-extraction group the lower arch between the molar has no statistically significant increase, the canine width comparison between the upper and lower dental arch had no statistical change significance, but non-extraction group the upper and lower arch change extraction ratio was significant. Conclusion Extraction and non-extraction treatment of Class Ⅰ malocclusion can increase the width of the previous arch, extraction and non-extraction treatment will not lead to narrow the arch significantly.
