Research progress on health assessment of surface water ecosystem

Health assessment of ecosystem is the basis for ecological restoration and reconstruction.In recent years,it becomes a hot issue in the domestic and foreign research,especially for the health evaluation research surface water ecosystem is an important component.The paper introduced related definitions and discussed the current research on approaches and indicators system for health evaluation of surface water ecosystem,and combed the lake and river ecosystem health assessment indicators system based on the present achievements.Then the common methods of comprehensive evaluation index were summarized.Furthermore,the paper analyzed the insufficiencies in the current surface water ecosystem health evaluation study and pointed out several prioritize directions for future.
