Abstract

Objective To summarize the effect of ultrasound guided percutaneous cool-tip radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of liver cancer. Methods Cool-tip radiofrequency ablation was applied on 39 lesions in 28 liver cancer patients. Then we monitored therapeutic process and observed clinical effect. Results Patients'symptoms were found improved.31 lesions became complete necrosis, and 8 partial necrosis.Re-examinations showed shrunk liver neoplasms without serious complications.Blood supply decreased respectively in various degree and even disappeared. Conclusions Ultrasound guided percutaneous cool-tip radiofrequency ablation has reliable curative effect and shows no serious complications for the treatment of liver cancer. The process has a high clinical application value.
