An Overview on Seismic Strengthening of Reinforced Concrete Structures

Abstract

The basic principle of seismic retrofit of reinforced concrete structures was given,and the seismic retrofit methods of reinforced concrete structures were discussed also.In this paper the features and usage extents of each method,and some points being cautioned were discussed briefly.Some problems encountered during seismic evaluation are also discussed.Finally,the possible development trend of seismic retrofit of reinforced concrete structures was given.
