Teaching Poetically——An Perspective of Modern Literature Breaking Through Its Predicament

It is argued that the teaching modern literature is confronted with such challenges as the invasion of the Western theory,the excavation its historical materials,and the literature works frequently being caused trouble. Therefore,in order to maintain its purity and to pursue for the poetic quality,educators should follow the following three principles:(a)leading students to pass through the messy theory literature into quiet and warm reading the originals;(b)adopting the attitude taking towards the historical materials so as to ensure students access to authors' excellent texts;and(c)making use portraits in order to better interpret the conveyed minds and feelings the classic works.
