The Comparison of XML with Database Technology and its Application

Abstract

Database management system is a very mature and popular system, while XML is a trendy system with growing scope. With the maturity of XML, is it possible to replace database by XML so that the data can be directly put into XML documents which can provide information share and data exchange in web to benefit the direct exchange? This article compares XML with database technology and discusses its further application.
