On the Relationships between Yu Dafu and the Left-wing Literary School

The Left-wing Literary Movement started in the 1930's.As a then well-reputed writer in the Chinese literary realm,Yu dafu was not only closely related to the left-wing Union of Writers,but also his literary thinking and creative practice were remarkably typical of the left-wing literature.It can be said that Yu Dafu was a writer with a strong left-wing tendency at that time.He was sincerely influenced by the left-wing literature which stood for the stream of the times and exerted his utmost in every way to break through his selfhood,presented of living and pangs of the times in his works,and turned out to be a faithful describer of the epoch.Meanwhile,checked by his own cultural psychology,Yu Dafu was not utterly left-wing.His works are characterized by pluralism and complexity.
