Abstract
The A/O-MBR process was used to treat municipal wastewater. The quality of influent and effluent was monitored continuously in order to inspect the stability of the system and the treatment efficiency of effluent. The results showed that the average removal rates of COD,NH3-N,TN and TP reached 92.04%、93.66%、78.04%、91.06% respectively under the conditions of HRT 12 h,SRT 30 d,sludge return ratio of 75% and dissolved oxygen(DO) of 1.3 to 8.5 mg/L in aerobic area.Denitrification was the control step affecting the overall nitrogen removal efficiency, and low C/N of influent was an important factor affecting denitrification. The sludge should be removed regularly because the particulate phosphorus components were in a higher proportion. The whole system was stable and would meet the processing requirements.
