Comparison of Chemical Compositions and vitro Immunological Activities of Eight Kinds of Crude Polysaccharides from Phellinus sp.

Eight kinds of crude polysaccharides were extracted by hot water from different Phellinus fruit bodies followed by ethanol precipitation.The polysaccharide and protein contents of eight different samples were determined,and the monosaccharides and amino acids compositions of each sample were analyzed.Immuno-enhancing activity was evaluated by determining the affect of different polysaccharide fractions on mouse spleen lymphocyte proliferation in vitro.The results showed that the polysaccharide and protein contents of eight crude polysaccharides had a certain extent differences.Monosaccharide composition and type and content of amino acids also existed some differences in eight crude polysaccharides.Eight different polysaccharides all showed enhancing splenocyte proliferation effect in vitro.and PB-10P and JSHP had high cell proliferation rates with 50 μg/mL concentrations.The two samples had higher polysaccharide and protein contents compared with other samples.The results indicated in some extent the immune activity of crude polysaccharides were correlation with the polysaccharied and protein contents and compositions of each sample.
