LAND USE CHANGE AND LAND-OCEAN INTERACTION

The study on land use change and land ocean interaction is the focus of the study on global environmental change. In this paper, it is discussed that the effects of land use change on ocean by influencing the hydrology, nutrient, suspended mass, sediments and biology of river that flow into ocean. The contents and advances of research project—land ocean interaction study implemented by England and some other countries surrounding North Sea are presented. Land use change is one of the most important causes that result in the change of land ocean interaction. The objective of study on land ocean interaction is to predict the trend at the scenario of land use change in the future. So in order to better understand global change, the combining study of land use change in coastal zone and land ocean interaction should be conducted.
