Abstract
Esterification of fumaric acid with methanol catalyzed by strong acid cation exchange resin S-54 was carried out. Some factors of the reaction, such as feed ratio, load of catalyst, reaction time, reaction temperature and external diffusion were studied. The optimal operation conditions were obtatined by using orthogonal experimentation: The feed ratio of methanol to fumaric acid is 8∶1, the ratio of catalyst to fumaric acid is 40%, reaction time is 8 hours and reaction temperature is the boiling temperature of mixture.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
