Abstract
With the development of high speed railway,rail noise becomes crucial and will inevitably bring negative impact on people's life.Therefore,noise problem must be taken into consideration when developing the high speed railway. Starting from the negative impact of noise on mankind,how the noise is produced is analyzed;the composition of wheel/rail noise and the contribution of each component to the wheel/rail noise are discussed.Referring to the experience from both home and abroad,combining the evaluation index of wheel/rail noise,the control measures are described in detail from both rail structure and vehicle.The development priority and problems need to be emphasized in future for the control measures are summarized,which could be taken as the guide in reducing the rail/wheel noise.
