Abstract

The characteristics study of electromagnetic waves propagation in mine tunnels is very complex because of the non-ideal conductive walls with roughness.The mine tunnel is regarded as wave-guide which contains some kinds of un-beneficial media,then the formulae of electromagnetic waves roughness attenuation and total propagation attenuation are deduced,and the relations between the propagation attenuation and the roughness and frequency respectively are simulated.The results show that the influence of roughness attenuation on electromagnetic waves propagation attenuation in low frequency is stronger,and the attenuation increases rapidly with roughness.But tilted attenuation is stronger than roughness attenuation as propagation frequency increases.
