Abstract

Objective Through on-site observation, analyze the time and frequency of dust storms, analyze the relationship between wind speed and the quantity of dust and find the most economic and efficient method of eco-recovery.Methods Establish an experiment base, use on-site meteorological dust storm and temperature monitoring system to collect 8 804 sets of statistics, analyze the statistics and find patterns. Results The change in air temperature is greater than that of the soil temperature. The deeper the soil, the smaller is the temperature change. The main winter winds of the region are northwesterly and northerly winds. The winter wind speed is approximately from 1 m /s to 2 m /s.Such wind speed will not blow up dust,as wind speed needed to cause dust in the region would have to be at least 4.6 m /s.Conclusions The main measure to prevent dust storms is to reduce wind speed and increase roughness of the earth’s surface to undermine the formation of moving sand.In the region, planting vegetation is the most economic, effective and long-lasting measure to prevent weathering and erosion.
