Abstract
[Objective] To shorten the possibility of shortening the incubation time of antimicrobial susceptibility test.[Methods]Common staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli and pseudomonas aeruginosa were used to observe the results of antimicrobial susceptibility after incubation for 6,8,10 and 12 hours respectively at 35℃;comparison was made with the results of incubation for 18 to 24 hours as in our regular operation standard.[Results] All of the three bacteria showed no obvious antimicrobial ring on the antimicrobial susceptibility disk before being incubated for 6 hours at 35 ℃;after being incubated for 6 to 8 hours, the consistent rate between the results of antimicrobial susceptibility and control incubation for 18 to 24 hours was 81% to 92%;after 10 hours' incubation, the consistent rate between the results of antimicrobial susceptibility and control incubation for 18 to 24 hours was 97.1% to 99.2%;the results of antimicrobial susceptibility after 12 hours' incubation were coincident with the control incubation for 18 to 24 hours.[Conclusion]The results of antimicrobial susceptibility after 10 hours' incubation were highly coincident with the control incubation for 18 to 24 hours in regular operation with good reliability.
