Abstract

By applying the subjective evaluation method, the feeling of users in different sex during the process of massage was studied for designing intelligent massage chairs. The suggestions were given for optimizing working parameters of massage chairs. The results showed that the total effects of chair has no significant difference between men and women after 25 minutes massage, and the distribution of massage comfort on body parts are similar. However the comfort of female subjects vibrated harder than that of the male subjects, which made a significant deference of comfort during the process of massage between men and women.
