Abstract
The Xilekuduke is a new-exploration molybdenum-dominant Cu-Mo deposit proved up by recent work.Based on the study of the geological setting, geology of ore district, orebody and ore types, mineralization stage and zoning, wallrock alteration,as well as geochemistry on mineral deposit,it is considered that the Xilekuduke deposit may be attributed to a porphyry Cu-Mo deposit evidenced by such characteristics as copper-molybdenum assemblage,vein-let and disseminated mineralization, close relationship with felsic sub-volcanic porphyry dyke,porphyry-type wallrock alteration zoning,ore-forming material from porphyry,ore-forming fluid from magma or mixed-water by magma water and meteoric water,as well as high mineralization temperature and salinity. The Re-Os isochron age of molybdenite is 327.1±2.9Ma.The hosted porphyry with 329.2±8.2 Ma of zircon U-Pb dating, belongs to peraluminous K-high calc-alkaline rock series characterized by 70.37%~73.46% of SiO2,3.65%~3.96% of K2O,and 0.99~1.03 of A/CNK value. The deposit occurs the post-collisional tectonic setting, and this type of post-collisional porphyry Cu-Mo deposit provides with a well prospecting potential in North Xinjiang.
