Abstract
The flotation behavior and mechanism of a new collector EA-715 in collecting scheelite, calcite, fluorite and quartz were studied with flotation tests,Zeta potential measurement and infrared spectrum analysis.Single-mineral tests show that, adopting a proper reagent system, scheelite can be effectively separated from gangue minerals with EA-715.Flotation tests on artificially mixed minerals showed that,a tungsten concentrate with a WO3 content and recovery of 61.82% and 88.63%,respectively,was obtained.Analysis of Zeta potential and IR spectra testified that chemisorption was the main reaction mechanism of EA-715 on scheelite, calcite and fluorite, while,on quartz, physical adsorption is more dominant.
