Abstract
Octyl acetate was synthesized from acetic acid and n-octanol using sodium bisulfate as catalyst without solvent under ultrasonic. The optimal reaction conditions were as follows:mole ratio of n-octanol to acetic acid of 1∶2.0,1.0% catalyst based on the total mass of the reactants, reaction time of 20min and reaction temperature of 84℃.Under these conditions, the yield of octyl acetate is up to 80.1%.The catalyst could be repeatedly used.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
