Study on the Relationship between Serum CA153 of Postoperative Chemotherapy and Prognosis of Breast Cancer

Objective To investigate the significance of serum CA153 value taken after 3 cycle postoperative chemotherapy for evaluating the prognosis of breast cancer.Methods The patients were divided into three groups according to their serum CA153 concentration such as normal value(30 U/mL),two fold of normal value(60 U/mL)and three fold of value(90 U/mL),respective1y.Accumulated survival rate and average survival time were estimated using Kaplan-Meier estimates and compared with the logrank test where indicated.Results Accumulated survival rate of patients whose 3 cycle postoperative chemotherapy semen CA153 were ≤30 U/mL had no significant difference(P0.05)from that of CA15330 U/mL.There was no significant difference(P0.05)between the group of CA153≤60 U/mL and60 U/mL as well.Accumulated survival rate of patients whose 3 cycle postoperative chemotherapy serum CA153≤90 U/mL was significantly higher than those whose CA153 90 U/mL(P0.05).Conclusion 90 U/mL of CA153 after 3 cycle postoperative chemotherapy could be applied to evaluate prognosis of breast cancer.
