Abstract

Network Processor (NP) technology is one of the key technologies of the Next Generation Network.The research of IPv6 Router based on IXP2400 is the application of this technology,At first,this paper briefly introduces the infrastructure and the main function of Intel IXP2400,then It provides a concrete scheme of IPv6 Router based on IXP2400,and it emphasizes the data plane design and implementation of the IPv6 Router based on IXP2400 and the distribution strategy of the system source.
