Analysis and diagnosis of the anterior knee pain under arthroscopy

[Objective] Discuss the articular factor of anterior knee pain under arthroscopy combined clinical data.[Methods] 120 anterior knee pain patients who were suspected intra-articular factor were treated through approach of arthroscopic operation from 2000 to 2004.[Results] In all patients,42 were confirmed chondramalacia of patella,22 OA of patellofemoral joint,21 disorder of patellofemoral joint,15 synovial plica syndrome,10 chronic articular inflammatory diseases,7 prepatellar fat pad and 3 femoral intercondylar fossa straitness.[Conclusion] The results show that we can analyse and diagnose the articular factor of the anterior knee pain under arthroscopy and it is advantageous in terms of less injury,high success rate and limited treatment.It is recommended that arthroscopy is a good method to diagnose anterior knee pain.
