Abstract
Objective To understand the influence of the traffic noise on the uptown.Methods Time distribution,horizontal distance distribution,vertical distance distribution from traffic noise,noise level near residential area and correlative factors(vehicle flow,switching windows) were determined and analyzed.Results About 24 h time distribution of highway traffic noise,the noise at 8,9,10 o'clock were higher and reached 79.8 dB,79.9 dB and 82.1 dB,respectively.At 4 and 5 o'clock,noise was lower and reached 65.0 dB and 65.5 dB.All the equivalent sound level exceeded the standard limits.The peak value epoch of the traffic flux was consistent with the peak value epoch of the traffic noise.Highway traffic noise attenuated with the increment of the horizontal distance.Traffic noise vertical length distribution presented that the noise of 2 and 3 floors was higher than 1,4 and 5 floors.No matter in day or night,the noise in and out of the rooms by the highway exceeded the standard limits.Closing the windows could cut off the traffic noise obviously and reduced the noise about 12.5 dB.Conclusion Traffic noise near residential areas is serious and it should be controlled.
