Abstract
PtPPF-1,a homologue of PPF-1 with function of delaying anthesis and senescence was cloned from Poncirus trifoliata(L.) Raf.by RTPCR and 3′-RACE technology.The complete cDNA sequence of PtPPF-1 contained 1 493 bp and encoded a protein of 452 amino acids.Phylogenetic analysis showed that PtPPF-1 had high homology to Pisum PPF-1,Arabidopsis ALB3,Oryza PPF-1 and Vitis unnamed gene,indicating little variation of PPF-1 genes during evolution.RT-PCR revealed the highest expression level of PtPPF-1 in leaves.The apical buds and stem had the same expression while no expression was delected in roots of P.trifoliata.This expression module related to chloroplast localization signal domain.
