Abstract

Objective To study the effect and nursing of high sodium dialysate in treating hypotension during hemodialysis. Methods 10 patients(96 times) who received maintain dialysis and suffered hypotension were treated by high sodium dialysate during the dialyses and proper nursing care had been given for them at the same time. Results Hypotension and cardiovascular events had been avoided by adjusting the sodium concentration of dislysate during hemodialysis. Conclusions It is effective and safe to control hypotension of patients with maintain dialysis by adjusting the sodium concentration of dislysate during hemodialysis according to the individual difference. It can improve patients’ quality of life and prolong their survival time markedly.
