Abstract
The widely used VISSIM model is selected as the basic platform for the parameter calibration, then orthogonal experimental method is used to calibrate 6 driver parameters which is commonly used, and a set of systematic calibration procedure is recommended. Finally the systematic calibration procedure is applied to a single signalized intersection of Beijing, using the average error of average queue length and traffic volume as the evaluation index, which validates the effectiveness of orthogonal experiment method in VISSIM parameter calibration.
