Abstract

The article is based on Anthony D.Smith's ethnic symbolism Theory.It demonstrates the relationship between historical memory and ethnic identity and the change of the latter.It points out that the ethnic identity is not only emotional-symbolism,but also instrumental-political-economical.We should pay attention to the relationship between them and the allocation and rule of the interest and competition.
