Abstract
Objective To study the effects of EGb on scopolaming-induced impairment of spatial working memory in rats in Morris water maze performance. Method Thirty rats were randomised into three group: normal group, EGb group and scopolamine group. The different chemical drugs were delivered into different groups(i.p) respectively prior to the sessions. Then the escape latencies were record. Result There were significant difference between the EGb group and the scopolamine group in escape latency, in addition the escape latency of scopolamine group was significantly shorter than that of normal group. Conclusion EGb can improve the effect of scopofamine-induced impairment of spaual working memory in Morris water maze in rats.
