Abstract

With more and more applications of workflow technology , the new demands occur. Workflow systems must be flexible and dynamic in order to effectively adapt for dynamic, uncertain and error-prone collaborative work environments. This paper expands the workflow model proposed by Workflow Management Coalition and then presents a dynamic workflow model. Based on this dynamic workflow model, a workflow management system TH-workflow is designed. TH-workflow has the functions of flexible process control and of supporting dynamic process changes. The functions of the system are organized in 3 levels, they are application level, function level and implementation level. Every level has the corresponding contributions to system services and dynamic control.
