SIP the key technique of NGN

Abstract

SIP(Session Initiation Protocol).The future information net is a net plat based on all IP.On this plat,operator can provide abundant integrated new services for user.For different equipment suppliers and different protocol translating and intercommunication,a common protocol is needed.SIP(IETF RFC2S43) is the correct measure to realize the NGN solution.This paper introduces the function of SIP generally,also illuminates how to make a SEP call,and compares with H.323 brought out by ITU-T,shows the superiority of SEP.
