Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological features of carcinosarcoma of breast, its differential diagnosis and prognosis. Methods The histopathology and immune phenotype of 2 cases of breast cancer sarcoma in our hospital were observed, studied and discussed, with relative literature reviewed. Results Microscopic examination showed well-demarcated lesions, one case by a better differentiation of invasive ductal carcinoma and malignant spindle cell component composition;another of malignant spindle cell components associated with bone differentiation and cartilage differentiation, with somewhat less infiltration of ductal carcinoma component on its edges.Immunophenotype: the spindle cell showed vimentin(+),S-100 protein(+),CKAE(-) and CK34(-).The carcinoma cells showed CKAE(+),CK34(+),vimentin(-),and S-100 protein in Case 1 is cancer-negative protein(-),while in Case 2 scattered positive(+).Conclusions The primary sarcoma in the breast gland is rare, whose diagnosis should be compared with and differentiated from carcinoma sarcomatodes, cystosarcoma phyllodes and matrix-producing carcinoma of the breast.
