Clinical observation of hydrotalcite in treatment of bile reflux gastritis:a report of 64 cases

Objective To investigate the efficacy of hydrotalcite in the treatment of bile reflux gastritis.Methods 64 cases of bile reflux gastritis were randomly divided into the control group treated with domperidone and the treatment group managed with hydrotalcid and domperidone.After 4 weeks treatment,abdominal pain,abdominal distension,vomiting and other symptoms of biliary changes,and changes in endoscopic gastric mucosal inflammation were evaluated.Results After the treatment,the symptoms of patients in 2 groups were significantly alleviated(P0.01),and the rate of symptoms alleviation and endoscopic mucosal inflammation improvement were 76.7%,66.7% and 94.1%,91.2% in the control group and the reatment group respectively(P0.01).There were no significant adverse events.Conclusion Hydrotalcite combined with domperidone can treat bile reflux gastritis effectively,with less adverse reactions,which is worthy to be popularized.
