Differentiation of “Genre of Late Tang” in the Poetry of the Song Dynasty

saying of Genre of came up during the Song and the Early Yuan Dynasties. People of the Song Dynasty had a lot of parlances on the poetry of such as Genre of Tang, Late Tang Poetry, Taste of Tang, The Tang Poetry, Poetry by the Tang literati, Late Tang Style. They mainly referred to the poetry with re-emitting tendency, written in an ornate style and concentrating on bitter lives by three representative poets Meng Jiao, Jia Dao, Yao He. By the end of the late Song and the early Yuan Dynasties, the poetic concept of Genre of is a trinity with three implications. first is Jiao Han Dao Shou; the second is the poetry by monks; the third is the Si Ling School in the late Song. This paper discusses the characteristics of the Genre of and challenges the views of belittling this genre in the recent centuries.
