Abstract
The quantity of wastewater treatment in SINOPEC Maoming Ethylene Factory presently is approximately 1 000 m3/h.The overall qualified rate of treated effluent has been 100% for many years. For the purpose of water conservation and wastewater reduction, the effluent after proper treatment is reused as the make-up water for recirculating cooling system to increase the wastewater reuse rate. The secondary biochemical effluent was treated using internal circulation BAF and high-efficiency fiber filter, and the technical reconstruction was performed using the available structures and equipment. The actual operation shows that the effluent quality meets the design criteria, and it can be reused as the make-up water for recirculating cooling system.
