Abstract
With the self-compacting concrete taken as the new concrete, Z-shape has been selected as the configuration of adhesive specimens of young on old concrete with the monolithic new concrete specimens as their companion specimens. Their behavior of shear has been tested by multifunctional testing system. Referring to others' outcome for comparing the shearing property of self-compacting concrete with normal concrete on the old, the study in the shear behavior of the adhesion of self-compacting and old concrete has been carried out. The results show that the shearing strength of self-compacting concrete with superior workability on the old is better then the normal concrete.
