Abstract
This paper makes an analysis of conceptual metaphor,experientialism and the embodied motivation for metaphor.In the contemporary theory of metaphor,metaphors are not linguistic expressions but cross-domain mappings in the conceptual system.The metaphor system is not arbitrary but grounded in experience.
