Abstract

Histoplasmosis is a worldwide fungous disease caused by bipolar type histoplasma.Its incidence in our country is increasing recently.The pathogenic agents of histoplasmosis include Histoplasma capsulatum,Histoplasma var.duboisii and Histoplasma farciminosus.Diagnostic methods and treatment options vary with different clinical manifestations and the severity of disease.This review presents the progress of diagnosis and treatment of histoplasmosis.
