Modeling on the CNC based on fieldbus of PROFIBUS

Abstract

The basic model of the CNC based on Fieldbus is constructed according to the character- istics of Fieldbus. The real-time of the control system based on Fieldbus is depended on the Fieldbus communication delay. Therefore, the communication model of the CNC based on PROFIBUS-DP is constructed by Matlab/Simulink tool in this paper, and the CNC perfor- mance about Fieldbus transport delay is evaluated. All of this provides the theoretic bases for the research and development of fieldbus-based CNC system.
