Abstract
Objective To compare the effect of different factors(①oral hygiene habits,②designs of dentures,③material of dentures) on abutment teeth of removable partial dentures (RPDs).Methods The abutment teeth status were examined before and after they had worn RPDs for three years on items of caries,periodontal and oral hygiene habits.The results were analyzed with χ 2 statistics.Results The patient's oral hygiene habits and different designs of dentures had close relation with abutment teeth status,but different material of dentures had no effects.Conclusion The abutment teeth status are related many factors,but oral hygiene is a most important factor.
