Study on the Tongue Manifestations of 100 Patients with Blood-stasis Tongue of Heart Diseases

Objective To explore the characteristics of tongue manifestations in patients with heart diseases.Methods The 100 patients with the blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases,30 patients with non blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases,30 patients with blood-stasis tongue of non heart diseases,and 20 healthy people were randomly selected.The tongue-diagnosis expert software and the clinical observation were applied to analyze the tongue manifestations.Results The tongue manifestation of patients with the blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases was mostly dark red(28.0%),blue purplish(27.0%),pale purplish(25.0%),and the tongue coating was mostly white and thick(37.0%),and yellow and thick(33.0%).The values of Red,Green, Blue of the different blood-stasis tongue body of heart diseases were all significantly different(P0.01).Red and Blue values of the tongue body in the group of blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases were significantly lower than those in the control groups and non blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases(P0.01). The values of Red,Green,Blue of the tongue body in different syndromes of blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases were all significantly different(P0.01).Conclusion Observation of the tongue body was significant in diagnosing the blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases and the pathogenesis of blood-stasis.Observation of the tongue coating was significant in diagnosing the different syndromes of blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases.The comprehensive observation on Red, Green and Blue values of tongue body can provide the objective evidence for the diagnosis and syndrome differentiation for patients with blood-stasis tongue of heart diseases.
