"Qisi":Absurd Game and Its Allegory

Abstract

Up to now,researchers still believe that Lu Xun's intention in Qisi is to criticize Zhuangzi.It is not necessarily correct.Zhuangzi in Qisi does not tally with Lu Xun's cognition of Zhuangzi.The symbolization of is to satirize the literati who would not distinguish wrong from right and pretended to be of Zhuangzi manner in 1930's. He furthered to criticize the national characters and revealed the Taoist root of the Chinese society.Besides criticizing the reality,he also mocked at and pointed out that his spirit of withdrawal from the world and slippery eloquence resulted in the embarrassment of being used by the later hermits.
