Abstract

This article provides a summarization of the development of magnetic suspension technology, especially the magnetic suspension technology using superconductors. We further present a new method of electrostatic suspension. The basic concept of electrostatic suspension and its optoelectronic feedback control system are briefly introduced. As a new method of suspension technology, the application of electrostatic suspension is also discussed.
