Clinical Application of Uterine Arterial Embolization in Treating Postpartum Hemorrhage

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical value by using uterine arterial embolization(UAE) in treating postpartum hemorrhage.Methods By using Seldinger technology the two-side uterine artery is intabated up to and infused the particle of gelatin sponge untill it was closed.The course was monitored by TV.Results The uterine artery of all cases by DSA confirmed that the uterine artery was enlargement,tortuous and circuity and leakage of.After therapy the target uterine artery was obstructed.Vaginal hemorrhage was stopped in 2 days.The average time of hospital stay was 5-7days.Conclusions Uterine arterial embolization is a safe and effective approach for management of postpartum hemorrhage.
