Abstract
Objectives To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Gatifloxacin infection in the treatment of lower respiratory tract and urinary tract bacterial infections. Methods A total of 206 patients were enrolled in this study, but 6 cases were infixed or weeded.102 cases treated with Gatifloxacin injection were compared with 98 cases treated with Levofloxacin injection.Drugs were administered intravenously at a dose of 400mg of Gatifloxacin, once a day or 200mg of Levofloxacin,q12h for 7~14 days. Results The overall clinical efficacious rates of Gatifloxacin injection was 91.18%(93/102) and of Levofloxacin injection 88.78%(87/98).The bacterial clearance rates of Gatifloxacin was 94.32%(83/88) and of Levofloxacin was 93.51%(72/77).The incidence of adverse drug reactions (ADR) of Gatifloxacin injection was 8.74%(9/103)of Levofloxacin injection was 6.80%(7/103).There was also no significant difference(P0.05) no severe adverse drug reactions was found. There was no significant difference(P0.05) between two groups in the clinical efficacy, the bacterial clearance rates and the incidence of ADR.Conclusion Gatifloxacin injection is an effective and safe antibiotics for the treatment of lower respiratory tract and urinary bacterial infection.
