Abstract
Five mortise-tenon joints models made with the requirements of the Gongcheng Zuofa of Qing Dynasty were tested by low-cyclic reversed loading. The behaviors of mortise-tenon joints models, such as the failure forms, hysteretic curves and deformations are analyzed. The test results indicate that the mortise-tenon joints models exhibit good deformation behavior, and the vertical displacement is 100 mm.The separation between mortise and tenon leads to the destruction of the mortise-tenon joints models, squeeze deformation occurs in mortise and tenon, and the beams and columns are intact. The shape of hysteretic hoops of each mortise-tenon joints models is a Z,which proves the properties of the semi-rigid connection of the mortise-tenon joints.
